The Israeli army resumed the genocide of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday after just over a month of ceasefire; Israeli missiles and shells claimed the lives of at least 429 Palestinians and injured more than 562, most of whom were children and women, in just one day.

The Palestinian Health Ministry reported that the numbers of casualties do not include those still trapped under the rubble. Rescue teams and residents are continuing their search for potential survivors or those who have been killed.

Media sources stated that the army intensified its bombing of areas east of the Tuffah neighborhood in Gaza City, Beit Hanoun in the north, central Gaza, including Deir Al-Balah, as well as Khan Younis and Rafah in the southernmost parts of the coastal enclave.

Reports indicate that renewed strikes killed at least four Palestinians in a home in Deir Al-Balah, one in Khan Younis, and others in Al-Qarara town in Khan Younis and Rafah.

Additionally, an Israeli drone strike on Khan Younis resulted in the death of one Palestinian and caused several injuries.

Medical sources in Gaza stated that the ongoing bombardment has led to hundreds of deaths. Among these fatalities, 429 have been confirmed and transferred to hospitals, along with more than 562 wounded individuals, many of whom are in critical condition.

The Health Ministry in Gaza revealed that the casualties include at least 174 children, 89 women, and 32 elderly individuals. It added that 73% of the victims transferred to hospitals were children, women, and elderly individuals.

Al-Jazeera said that the Israeli attacks wiped out entire families, and added that “Palestinians who had returned to their damaged and destroyed homes after the ceasefire came into effect were also targeted by Israel’s relentless bombing as entire families were wiped out in seconds.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the recent Israeli attacks on Gaza, which have resulted in the deaths of numerous families, as “only the beginning.” He stated that the bombings would continue until Hamas is destroyed and all captives are released.

The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza reported that at least 48,577 Palestinians have been confirmed dead, with 112,041 injured since October 7, 2023.

According to Al-Jazeera, the Gaza Government Media Office updated the death toll to over 61,700, noting that thousands of Palestinians remain missing under the rubble and are presumed dead.

In a press briefing, the head of the Gaza Government Information Office revealed that the bodies of 76 percent of the deceased have been recovered and transported to medical centers. He added that more than 14,222 Palestinians remain trapped under the rubble in areas inaccessible to rescuers across the devastated Gaza Strip.
