Palestinian sources reported on Monday that eight Palestinian homes were destroyed by the Israeli army during invasions that targeted a number of West Bank communities.
Israeli soldiers invaded, on Monday morning, Khirbit al-Marajem village, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, and demolished three Palestinian homes. Many Palestinians suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation, when the villagers clashed with the invading forces.
The Israeli army claimed the three demolished properties were built without obtaining permits from the “Civil Administration Office,” run by the military in the occupied West Bank. Two more Palestinian homes were demolished by the Israeli army on Monday, one in Hebron and the other in Jerusalem also for claims of being built with permits from the Israeli army.
Also in northern West Bank, Israeli troops demolished three homes Qabatia town, near Jenin city. The demolition of the homes rendered more than 21 Palestinians, including many children, homeless.
The homes belongs to three Palestinian men families that were killed by the Israeli army two months ago after carrying out a shooting attack in Jerusalem that left one soldier dead.
The sources added that clashes took place between the soldiers and many local youths, who hurled stones and empty bottles on the invading army vehicles. Many residents were treated for the effects of tear gas inhalation.
