An Israeli soldier killed by a Palestinian driver meanwhile troops invade communities in the West Bank and detain two dozen civilians. These stories, and more, coming up, stay tuned.
One Israeli was killed, and another suffered mild wounds, Thursday, in what Israel called a deliberate ramming attack, carried out by a Palestinian driver, who was detained at the scene, at the junction of Ofra illegal Israeli colony, east of Ramallah, in the occupied West Bank.
The Israeli police claimed that Ahmad Hamed, 21, from Silwad town, east of Ramallah, “deliberately rammed the two Israelis while at the junction outside Ofra colony.”
The Palestinian was detained at the scene, and was instantly moved to a military interrogation facility. Following the incident, dozens of armed Israeli colonists closed main road near Ofra to all Palestinian traffic, and prevented them from driving through, while Israeli soldiers stood nearby without attempting to remove them.
Elsewhere, Israeli soldiers have abducted, overnight and at dawn Thursday, 25 Palestinians, in different parts of the occupied West Bank, including Jerusalem, during extensive invasions and violent searches of homes, and property.
Moreover, The Jerusalem City Council has ordered the eviction and closure of three Palestinian apartments in Wadi Hilweh neighborhood, in Silwan town in the occupied East Jerusalem, due to ongoing excavations carried out by the Israeli authorities under their homes, destroying their foundations.
The Wadi Hilweh Information Center in Silwan (Silwanic) has reported that the apartments are owned by the ‘Oweida family, where 16 Palestinians, including 10 children, live.
The excavations have caused serious damage to many Palestinian homes and stores, while colonialist groups are ongoing with their efforts to remove the Palestinians in order to build and expand the illegal colonies.
In Gaza, Several occupation bulldozers moved into the northern Gaza Strip, near the town of Beit Lahia, on Thursday morning. The bulldozers razed the area along the separation fence, amid the flight of reconnaissance aircraft.
