A Palestinian woman was killed on Wednesday, at least five officers injured during the clashes between Palestinian security services and a number of armed persons in the northern Wets Bank city of Nablus.
According to Palestinian official sources armed persons attacked Palestinian security officers after Israeli forces had finished their incursion into the city.
As a result, five Palestinian security officers were seriously injured while a woman, who was in her house balcony, was killed. Investigations are ongoing to identify the source of the bullet that killed the woman, Palestinian police announced.
After the shootout outraged residents organized a protest at Nablus city center and closed the stores. The security officers confronted them and opened fire in the air and fired tear gas canisters. Palestinian security services declared Nablus Old City and intersection as closed military zones.
Dozens of soldiers invaded, on Wednesday at dawn, the Health, Development, Information and Policy Institute, in the central West Bank city of Ramallah, after detonating many doors and walls, violently searched it and injured three students.
Dr. Mustafa Barghouthi, a member of the Public Committee of the “Health, Development, Information and Policy Institute” (HDIP), said more than eight Israeli military vehicles invaded the Institute campus, before the soldiers detonated many of its doors and walls, and illegally confiscated equipment, including computers. The soldiers fired many gas bombs, and concussion grenades, at students in the Institute, wounding three.
Elsewhere, Israeli soldiers invaded, on Wednesday at dawn, Zabbouba village, west of Jenin, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, and the al-Far’a refugee camp, south of Tubas, in northeastern West Bank, and abducted one Palestinian.
Moreover, Israeli soldiers abducted, overnight until early morning hours Wednesday, nine Palestinians, including a twelve-year-old child, in different parts of the occupied West Bank.
