Palestinian youth killed by Israeli soldiers meanwhile troops invade West Bank communities and kidnap civilians. These stories, and more, coming up, stay tuned.

A Palestinian youth was shoot and killed on Thursday morning by Israeli troops manning a military checkpoint in northern West Bank.

Mohamed Harb, 19, from the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia, was killed by Israeli soldiers at the Za’tarra checkpoint, separating northern from central West Bank.

According to the Israeli army, troops used lethal force as Harb was about to attack soldiers with knife. Eyewitnesses and some photos taken by passing by cars show Harb being held by soldiers at gunpoint and creating no threat to the troops at the checkpoint.

Following the attack Israeli troops closed the area and did not allow Palestinians to move.  Since October 2015, at least 242 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli gunfire, most of them under claims of attacking soldiers, five of whom were killed by soldiers at Za’tarra, local sources reported.

Elsewhere,  The Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) has reported that Israeli soldiers have kidnapped, Thursday, 18 Palestinians, from their homes, in different parts of the occupied West Bank.

The Hebron office of the PPS, in the southern part of the West Bank, the soldiers searched many homes and abducted five Palestinians. In Tulkarem, in the northern part of the West Bank, the soldiers abducted three men after searching their homes.

Two more Palestinians were kidnaped from their homes in Jenin city, two from Nablus and another two from Qalqilia in northern West Bank.

Moreover, Israeli soldiers invaded, on Thursday at dawn, the Qalandia refugee camp, north of occupied Jerusalem, searched many homes and abducted three young men. Meanwhile also near Jerusalem one man was kidnapped from his home in Abu Dis town.
