Israeli occupation forces killed, on Wednesday, a Palestinian child in the town of Sinjil, north of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank, after groups of illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers invaded the town, attacked residents, and stole sheep.
The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed that the child, Yousef Ali Ka’abna, 16, was struck with live ammunition in the chest, sustaining life‑threatening wounds before succumbing to his injuries.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said its medics provided emergency treatment at the scene before transferring him to the Martyr Yasser Arafat Hospital in Salfit, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
The PRCS added that at least four Palestinians were injured by rubber‑coated steel bullets fired by Israeli occupation forces who accompanied the colonizers during the attack.
The shooting is part of an ongoing colonizer assault documented in Sinjil and Jaljulia, where armed colonizers invaded Palestinian agricultural areas, assaulted residents, and stole dozens of sheep.
The colonizers from nearby illegal colonies repeatedly stormed the outskirts of both towns, harassed shepherds, and seized livestock under the protection of Israeli soldiers.
In related news, Israeli soldiers abducted three Palestinian shepherds after the colonizers attacked them while they were tending their flocks.
Eyewitnesses said the colonizers also stole Palestinian livestock from the farmers and shepherds after attacking them.
These attacks included chasing Palestinian farmers and shepherds from their land, blocking access roads, and attempting to expand colonizer‑controlled areas through intimidation and violence.
Wednesday’s shooting fits into this broader pattern of coordinated colonizer violence, which has escalated sharply across the occupied West Bank.
Residents of Sinjil reported that colonizer groups have been gathering near the town’s eastern and northern outskirts for days, launching repeated assaults on homes, farmland, and shepherding areas.
