Israeli forces, on Monday morning, arrested Nihad Zgheir, as soon as he was released from Israel’s Gilboa jail, Quds News Network reported.
The Committee of the Families of Jerusalem Prisoners told QNN that Zgheir, 42, who was released from prison Monday morning, after serving 35 months, was re-arrested by the occupation authorities.
The committee noted that Zgheir was detained in June 2017 on his way back home to Palestine after having performed the Islamic pilgrimage of Ummrah, in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
He underwent prolonged interrogation sessions, after an Israeli court, accusing him of allegedly leading the “Al Aqsa Mosque Youth organization” and imposed a 10,000 shekel fine.
No reason for the re-arrest was available at the time of reporting.
