The Israeli Security Agency (Shabak) allowed for publication the arrest of what it called a “Palestinian cell” involved in shooting attacks targeting a military base near the Ofra illegal colony, built on Palestinian lands, east of Ramallah in the West Bank.
The Shabak alleged that the cell carried out several shooting attacks targeting the military base, in October and November 2016, using homemade weapons.
It added that an investigation into the incident led to the arrest of the alleged cell, and some of their relatives who helped them by hiding their weapons, in addition to confiscating weapons and a car used in the attacks.
