In the pre-dawn hours of Sunday morning, hundreds of Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian homes, businesses and vehicles in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of East Jerusalem.

This is a neighborhood that has been designated by Israeli authorities as an area to be colonized by Israeli settlers, and the past several years have seen numerous violent assaults against Palestinians and Palestinian property, as Israeli colonizers move in and force out the indigenous Palestinian inhabitants.

The Sunday morning attacks took place around Road 1 in Sheikh Jarrah. The settlers, protected by Israeli police, threw stones at Palestinian vehicles, then proceeded to attack Palestinian homes and pedestrians.

In addition, local sources reported that Israeli settlers threw rocks at Palestinian vehicles traveling on Route 60, north of Ramallah in the West Bank.

No casualties were reported in either of the two incidents.
