On Monday, paramilitary Israeli colonizers detained three Palestinians in the Um Al-Jamal area in the Northern Plains of the Jordan Valley of the occupied West Bank, before Israeli soldiers released two and abducted the third.

Local human rights activist, Aref Daraghma, said the paramilitary colonizers assaulted the three Palestinians, including human rights activist Ayman Gharib, before the soldiers arrived in the area, released two, and abducted Ayman before moving him to an unknown destination.

Daraghma added that the colonizers installed tents near Palestinian homes and dwellings in the area, before assaulting several Palestinians and their homes.

He also said that the colonizers stole livestock from the Palestinians and tried to annex more Palestinian lands,

In related news, the soldiers imposed strict security measures in the Jordan Valley, especially at the Tayseer and the Al-Hamara military roadblocks and closed several streets leading to Palestinian communities.

Also Monday, the Israeli occupation issued orders confiscating 14 dunums of Palestinian land in the towns of Haris and Qarawat Bani Hassan, west of Salfit in the occupied West Bank’s central part.

On Sunday, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers invaded Palestinian orchards in the village of Yasuf, east of Salfit, in the occupied West Bank’s central part, and uprooted at least 100 olive trees.

In related news, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers attacked a Palestinian home and stole nine sheep in Khirbat Al-Himma community in the Northern Plains of the Jordan Valley of the occupied West Bank.

All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.

Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory.”
