On Tuesday, Israeli soldiers abducted at least sixteen Palestinians, including one child, and attacked many Palestinians, in several parts of the occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Detainees’ Committee and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society said in a joint statement that the soldiers stormed and ransacked dozens of homes across the occupied West Bank, especially in Ramallah, Hebron, Qalqilia, Bethlehem, Jerusalem, and Nablus.
They added that the soldiers interrogated and assaulted many Palestinians in their homes, and threatened to harm families and demolish their homes, before abducting the sixteen Palestinians, including one child and former political prisoners.
Media sources in Hebron said the soldiers abducted a child, Mohammad Maher Younis Mohammad, 12, while herding his family’s sheep on the family’s land in Khirbet Jenba in Masafer Yatta.
They added that paramilitary Israeli colonizers also installed a new illegal colonialist outpost on Palestinian lands in the Khallet ad-Dabe’ area.
It is worth mentioning that, since October 7, 2023, the Israeli army abducted more than 9170 Palestinians from various parts of the occupied West Bank.
Most of them were taken from their homes, many at military roadblocks, and others had to turn themselves in to the army after the soldiers took hostage0 members of their families to pressure them into surrendering.
