On Monday, Israeli forces carried out a detention campaign, abusing dozens of Palestinians in the town of Azzun, east of Qalqilia in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank. In the nearby villages of Al-Funduq and Jinsafut, east of the city, illegal Israeli colonizers attacked Palestinian citizens and destroyed their property.
Media sources said that Israeli forces stormed the town of Azzun, east of Qalqilia in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank, on Monday evening.
Sources added that the army stormed Azzun town from its northern entrance, invaded and searched a residential building and detained several Palestinian young man.
Later sources said that occupation forces detained approximately 70 Palestinian citizens in Azzun town, forcing them to lay on the ground, and subjected them to interrogation, humiliation, and abuse.
Meanwhile, on Monday evening, at least twenty-one Palestinians were injured, while their homes and vehicles were burned by illegal Israeli colonizers, on Monday evening, in the villages of Jinsafut and Al-Funduq, east of Qalqilia.
Several Israeli colonizers, under the protection of the occupation army, infiltrated the villages of Jinsafut and Al-Funduq, east of Qalqilia, and set fire to Palestinian citizens’ homes and vehicles, in addition to commercial facilities.
Jalal Bashir, the head of the Jinsafut village council, told the WAFA News Agency that dozens of settlers stormed the village, coinciding with the occupation forces’ invasion.
Bashir added that the colonizers burned Palestinian-owned homes and vehicles, in addition to a nursery and a carpentry shop.
Media sources said that one citizen sustained a minor head injury when he confronted the Israeli settlers who set his home on fire.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that its ambulance crews treated 21 citizens who sustained injuries as a result of the settler attack in Al-Funduq village; 12 of whom were subject to severe assault by Israeli forces, while 9 others sustained inhalation injuries from tear gas exposure.
The Ma’an News Agency reported that two Israelis were injured, on Monday night, during the attacks carried out by illegal colonizers in the village of Al-Funduq.
Ma’an quoted the occupation army which stated that an investigation was initiated into the circumstances of the two injuries.
Medical sources with the Israeli Red Star of David ambulance service reported that its ambulance crews transported two Israeli citizens to the hospital in Israel, one of whom suffered serious injuries and another who sustained critical injuries.
