As part of the ceasefire deal between the Israeli government and Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas”, ninety Palestinian women and children were released from occupation prisons, while three female Israelis were released by the Hamas Movement in Gaza.
Media sources said that buses carrying Palestinian detainees arrived from Ofer prison to Beitunia, west of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank, in preparation for their handover facilitated by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
Among those Palestinian detainees released was Khalida Jarrar, a prominent leader of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).
Large crowds of detainees’ loved ones gathered in Beitunia town, after midnight Sunday/Monday, to receive their family members from occupation jails with the cooperation of the ICRC.

WAFA correspondent reported that the fourteen Jerusalemite detainees were escorted to their homes by Israeli police, soldiers, and special forces.
He added that Israeli authorities ordered the families of Palestinian detainees in the West Bank to refrain from expressing joy or celebrating the release of their loved ones.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said that its ambulance crews transported two Palestinian citizens to the hospital after they sustained live gunshot injuries from the occupation forces.
WAFA reported that since October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have abducted more than 25,000 Palestinian citizens, 14,300 of whom were abducted from the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, while 10,700 were kidnapped from the Gaza Strip.
On Sunday evening, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas Resistance Movement, handed over the three female Israeli prisoners to the International Committee of the Red Cross in the center of Gaza City.
A short time later, the Israeli army announced that they had received the three Israelis as part of the prisoner exchange deal, in the context of the ceasefire agreement.

Additionally, as part of the prisoner exchange deal, the Israeli government agreed to release 737 Palestinian detainees held in Israeli prisons, and 1,167 Palestinians from the Gaza Strip who were kidnapped during the Israeli ground invasion.
