On Friday, Israeli soldiers assaulted a teenage boy during an invasion of the al-Jalazone refugee camp, north of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank’s central part, before ramming him with their jeep.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that its teams transported a 16-year-old boy to a hospital in Ramallah after he was run over by an Israeli military vehicle in the al-Jalazone refugee camp.

Eyewitnesses stated that the soldiers beat the boy while detaining him in a military vehicle for some time.

Later, a video showed the boy lying at the entrance of the camp on the side of the road, handcuffed and suffering from injuries caused by the incident.

In a separate incident, Israeli forces invaded the village of Dura al-Qare’, northeast of Ramallah, and closed streets.

Local sources reported that the soldiers fired tear gas bombs during the invasion and removed Palestinian flags and posters of the slain young man, Mohammad Hussein Fawaqa.

Israeli forces shot Fawaqa, 21, in the abdomen with live ammunition, causing critical injuries, which he later succumbed to during a settler attack in the village of Dura al-Qare’, on October 18, 2023.
