On Thursday, Israeli occupation soldiers invaded the village of Al-Walaja, west of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank, and demolished a residential structure.

Anar Abu At-Teen, a member of the Al-Walaja Village Council, stated that a military force, including bulldozers, invaded the village and demolished a residential structure under the pretext of lacking a license from the so-called “Civil Administration Office,” the administrative branch of Israel’s illegal occupation.

Abu At-Teen added that the building, licensed by the Village Council, was 60 square meters and part of a property owned by Hasan Mustafa Salah.

On Thursday morning, Israeli soldiers invaded Yatma town, south of Nablus in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, and demolished a Palestinian home.

On Wednesday, Israeli occupation soldiers demolished a home in the town of Silwan, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem, in the occupied West Bank.

Also, Israeli soldiers invaded Beit Ummar town, north of Hebron in the occupied West Bank’s southern part and demolished a newly built home and an irrigation pool.

It is worth noting that in October, the army demolished 45 structures, including twelve inhabited homes, six homes under construction, and 19 commercial and agricultural structures, and issued 38 demolition orders across the occupied West Bank.

The demolitions are carried amidst ongoing and escalating violations by the Israeli soldiers and the paramilitary colonialist settlers, living on stolen Palestinian lands.

While Israel continues to build and expand its illegal colonies, Palestinian communities, and towns, in occupied Jerusalem, and various areas in the occupied West Bank, continue to be denied the right to build homes and property, under various allegations meant to prevent the expansion of Palestinian towns and neighborhoods.

All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.

Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
