Israeli soldiers demolished multiple homes and structures on Wednesday during extensive invasions across the occupied West Bank, including the Bethlehem district and the town of Rafat north‑west of occupied Jerusalem.
In the Bethlehem governorate, soldiers invaded the towns of Nahalin and Za’tara and demolished five inhabited homes.
Troops stormed the “Sabiha” area of Nahalin, breaking into residential buildings and demolishing four homes belonging to Mahmoud Na’im Fannoun (two floors), Mahmoud Husni Shakarna (one floor), Malek Ribhi Najajra (one floor), and Jamil Mohammad Najajra.
Soldiers assaulted residents and fired gas bombs and concussion grenades, causing several cases of inhalation injuries.
Troops also abducted Subhi Mohammad Najajra, Maruf Mohammad Najajra, Fuad Jamil Najajra, Hanin Mahmoud Fannoun (39), the wife of Mahmoud Fannoun whose home was demolished, and Rezeq Shakarna after beating him.
Local sources noted that an Israeli court had recently rejected a petition to halt the demolition of fourteen homes in Nahalin.
In Za’tara, east of Bethlehem, Israeli forces demolished the home of Raed Hassan Abu Ra’iya, consisting of a ground level and two floors, each measuring 110 square meters and housing seven family members.
Abu Ra’iya said soldiers ordered him to evacuate the home on Tuesday before demolishing it the following morning.
Late Tuesday night, soldiers invaded the village of Artas south of Bethlehem, breaking into the homes of Mousa Zahran and Aahed Eid, searching them without reporting any abductions.
In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli authorities demolished a home, a carwash facility, and two livestock farms in the town of Rafat, north‑west of the city.
Bulldozers carried out the demolitions near the Rafat junction while soldiers deployed in the area.
Local monitoring groups reported that Israeli forces carried out 341 demolition operations during the first half of 2026, destroying 740 structures and affecting 923 residents, including 546 children and 431 women.
During the same period, Israeli authorities issued demolition orders against 254 additional structures under the pretext of lacking permits.
