On Saturday evening, Israeli soldiers abducted a young man, detained dozens, and broke into a factory, and a development society in Jericho, in the occupied West Bank’s northeastern part.
Media sources said dozens of soldiers invaded a cement factory, the Arab Development Society (ADS) building, and many homes in Jericho city, before conducting violent searches.
During the invasion of the ADS building, the soldiers caused extensive damage to its electronics and furniture, in addition to storming and ransacking the employees’ residences in the society.
The sources added that the soldiers also stormed and violently searched many homes in Al-Awja, north of Jericho, and imposed severe restrictions on the freedom of movement of the Palestinians in and around Jericho and the Northern Plains of the Jordan Valley.
Eyewitnesses said the soldiers invaded the Sanad Cement Factory, in the eastern area of Jericho, and searched it before confiscating surveillance recordings and equipment.
The soldiers also abducted Fawwaz Ramzi Balhan from Aqabat Jabr refugee camp, southwest of Jericho, while he was crossing the military roadblock at the city’s southern entrance.
Furthermore, the soldiers fired dozens of live rounds in the air to force all Palestinian cars, heading to Jericho or leaving it, to return, before they detained and interrogated dozens of young Palestinian men.
In addition, the soldiers caused serious damage to a Palestinian car, owned by Raed Awajna, while trying to enter Jericho via a dirt road near its northern entrance.
