Earlier Tuesday, Israeli soldiers shot and killed a Palestinian teenage boy and injured his father in the Tulkarem refugee camp, in Tulkarem, in the occupied West Bank’s northwestern part.

Medical sources have confirmed that Israeli army sharpshooters shot the child, Mohammad Abdullah Kanaan, 16, with a live round in the head, and his father, who was walking next to him, in the abdomen.

They added that the slain child and his wounded father were transferred to Thabet Thabet Hospital in Tulkarem.

Media sources said the army continued its offensive in the refugee camp, while soldiers and sharpshooters occupied rooftops, in addition to the deployment of armed drones over the refugee camp and several parts of Tulkarem city.

In addition, many armored military vehicles invaded the Ezbet Al-Jarad Suburb in Tulkarem before the soldiers surrounded and stormed a home, and interrogated the Palestinians inside it.

Since Israel began the escalation and massive invasions and destruction in the occupied West Bank last Wednesday, August 28, Israeli soldiers killed 31 Palestinians, including 18 in Jenin, bringing the number of slain Palestinians in the West Bank since October 7, 2023, to 683, including 165 children, 9 women, 2 medics, and 1 journalist.
