Israeli forces seriously wounded an elderly man near occupied Jerusalem, and stormed the homes of many Palestinian detainees set for release in the upcoming prisoner exchange in several West Bank governorates.

Media sources said that an elderly Palestinian man was seriously injured after being shot by Israeli soldiers near the Annexation Wall in the town of Ar-Ram, north of occupied Jerusalem.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that a seriously injured 67-year-old citizen was transported to the hospital after sustaining a live gunshot wound to the thigh.

Media sources reported that occupation forces invaded the homes of several detainees and warning their families not to celebrate their release, in Tammun town, south of Tubas in the northeastern part of the West Bank.

In the southern West Bank, the army stormed the homes of Palestinian detainees in the city of Hebron and the town of Deir Samet, west of the city.

Media sources said that Israeli soldiers invaded and ransacked the homes of detainees in the northern West Bank governorate of Nablus, and warned their family members not to hold celebrations for their release from Israeli prisons.

The sources added that Israeli forces abducted the young man, Khaled Akef Ashtiyeh, in the town of Salem; his brother, Anas, is scheduled to be released from occupation prisons.

In related news, the army shot a Palestinian young man in the hand with live ammunition during a military incursion into the town of Yatta, south of Hebron.
