On Monday morning, Israeli soldiers fatally shot a young Palestinian woman at a military roadblock, east of Tubas, in the occupied West Bank’s northeastern part.

Update: The Palestinian General Authority for Civil Affairs informed the Health Ministry that the seriously wounded woman has succumbed to her wounds, and added that, so far, the woman’s identity remain unknown as the Israeli army is holding her body.

Israeli sources (who frequently use the term ‘neutralize’) quoted the army alleging that the woman refused to identify herself and attempted to stab a soldier “before the soldiers neutralized her.”

Eyewitnesses said the soldiers shot the young man while crossing the roadblock and prevented the Palestinians from reaching her.

They added that the extent of her injuries remains unknown, especially after the soldiers closed the roadblock in both directions and forced the Palestinians to leave the area. The army claimed the woman tried to stab a soldier before she was shot.
