On Monday dawn, Day 185 of the ongoing genocide in the devastated Gaza Strip, Israeli missiles and shells killed dozens of Palestinians, including many children and women, and wounded many more.

Medical sources said the army fired missiles and shells at many homes and buildings in central Gaza and the Shejaโ€™eyya refugee camp, killing at least seven Palestinians and wounding dozens.

The Israeli army also fired many missiles and shells at Rafah, in southern Gaza, especially in the Al-Barahma area, in addition to many missiles targeting areas around the Kuwait hospital, and various areas, northeast of the city.

At least one Palestinian was killed, and many were injured when the army fired a missile at Palestinians in the Nasr town, north of Rafah.

In Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, Palestinian rescue teams found the corpses of eight Palestinians in bombarded homes in the eastern part of the city and moved them to the Gaza European Hospital.

The medics and rescue teams were only able to reach Khan Younis after the Israeli army withdrew and are looking for potential survivors and the corpses of slain Palestinians.

In addition, the Israeli war jets fired missiles at the Nusseirat refugee camp, in central Gaza, killing at least six Palestinians and wounding dozens, especially in a commercial building where dozens of families tried to shelter.

The World Food Programme said everyone in the Gaza Strip is hungry, adding that famine โ€œis ever closer in northern Gaza,โ€ and called for a humanitarian ceasefire to allow the delivery of food and humanitarian assistance.

Israeli sources quoted senior army commanders stating that the withdrawal of tanks and soldiers from Khan Younis was because an achievement was made, but due to extreme exhaustion among the soldiers.

They added that the army commanders believe the large number of troops in the Gaza Strip without โ€œan achievement of military objectives, will just put the lives of the soldiers at risk.โ€

Israeli daily Haaretz said the victory Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is talking about is not โ€œas close as he describes it,โ€ and added that while the soldiers are withdrawing from southern Gaza, โ€œIsrael isnโ€™t much closer to achieving the aims of the war.โ€

Haaretz added that the army doesnโ€™t have ground troops in southern Gaza and that only one combat brigade remains at the corridor between northern and southern Gaza and stated that the brigades that are stationed outside Gaza will invade it and operate as needed.

Egyptian sources said the delegates from Hamas and Qatar left Cairo but will be back within two days to hatch segments of what could become a final agreement. The Israeli and the American delegations will also leave Cairo for talks with their leadership and are slated to return within 48 hours.

Israeli Kan News said about 100 humanitarian aid trucks of the Jordanian army will enter Gaza within a few days, while Egypt said it intends to increase the number of aid trucks entering Gaza through the Rafah Terminal to 300, it also stated that the Ashdod Port will receive direct international humanitarian aid but did not elaborate on how or when it would be allowed into Gaza.

However, sources within the Hamas movement told Al-Jazeera that the Egyptian-mediated ceasefire talks have not led to progress, adding that Israel is rejecting all of the positions presented by the movement.

Al-Jazeera added that the Hamas delegation left Cairo to discuss the matter with the senior political leadership of the movement.

Israel has now killed at least 33.175 Palestinians, and injured more than 75.886, mostly women and children, in addition to the thousands of missing Palestinians, largely buried under the rubble of bombarded homes and buildings, on streets and alleys, of various parts of the destroyed Gaza Strip.
