On Thursday, Israeli occupation forces continued to bombard and shell various areas of the devastated, besieged, and starved Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths and injuries of dozens of Palestinians, including children and women.

Medical sources reported that the Israeli military targeted a UNRWA-run school housing dozens of displaced families in the eastern area of Jabalia refugee camp. The airstrike killed at least six Palestinians and caused multiple injuries.

Additionally, at least five Palestinians, including a child and a woman, were killed, and many others injured in an Israeli airstrike on a home in Tal Az-Zaatar, Jabalia refugee camp.

In another strike on a Najjar family home on Old Gaza Street in Jabalia town, four Palestinians were killed, and several were injured.

In the Zeitoun neighborhood, east of Gaza City, one Palestinian, Haitham Nabil Jondeyya, was killed, and several others were injured by Israeli shelling.

Bombings in the Sha’af area of the Tuffah neighborhood, northeast of Gaza City, resulted in the killing of several Palestinians and dozens of injuries, some critical.

The military also fired artillery shells at Skikka Street and Wadi Al-Arayes in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

Meanwhile, multiple homes and buildings in the eastern parts of Gaza City were wired and detonated by Israeli forces.

In central Gaza, an airstrike on Deir Al-Balah killed two Palestinians, Al-Mo’taz-Billah Tayseer Najjar and Nooh Mahmoud Najjar, and left several others injured.

Another missile strike near a mosque in eastern Deir Al-Balah killed Sari Jalal Mosleh, a young man, and Siwar Ahmad Dalloul, a female child, while wounding several others.

In Khan Younis, located in southern Gaza, Israeli forces shelled the Qizan Rashwan area, killing at least one Palestinian and injuring several others.

Another airstrike on a home near a soccer field in the city killed one Palestinian and caused multiple injuries.

An Israeli drone also fired a missile at Palestinians near the Nasser Medical Center in Khan Younis.

In Khan Younis refugee camp, two Palestinians were killed, and several others injured, when an airstrike targeted a home.

In Rafah, in southern Gaza, an Israeli drone attack targeted the Khirbet Al-Adas area, killing a young man, Yahia Sobhi Qeshta.

Israeli forces also continued widespread destruction of homes and buildings throughout Rafah.

On the political level, Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani said during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, that an agreement on Gaza had been reached months ago but was not honored by Israel.

At a press conference before the meeting, President Putin acknowledged Qatar’s significant efforts in addressing the efforts to end the ongoing onslaught, stating, “There are initiatives, but casualties continue to mount.”

He reiterated the importance of implementing United Nations and Security Council resolutions for a two-state solution, including the establishment of a Palestinian state.

On his part, Tamim underscored the enduring collaboration between Qatar and Russia on pressing regional issues.

“The tragic daily killings in Gaza must come to an end,” he stated, reflecting on Israel’s failure to honor prior agreements.

“As mediators, we remain committed to fostering dialogue and achieving a resolution that ends the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank,” the Emir added, reaffirming Qatar’s alignment with Russia on the issue.

“Our stance is clear and unwavering: there will be no peace without an independent Palestinian state, and we are determined to work toward this goal.”

Furthermore, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced on Thursday evening that no humanitarian aid had entered Gaza since March 2.

In a series of posts on the social media platform “X,” UNRWA noted that the current aid blockade is three times longer than the initial restrictions imposed at the beginning of the genocide.

UNRWA revealed that approximately 69% of the Gaza Strip is now under forced displacement orders, following 20 directives issued by the Israeli military.

UN estimates indicate that 420,000 Palestinians have been newly displaced since the resumption of aggression on March 18, 2025.

UNRWA stressed that the renewed airstrikes and lack of humanitarian access have severely hindered relief organizations from addressing critical needs such as food, water, sanitation, and shelter.

Earlier in April, the agency reported that 1.9 million Palestinians in Gaza had been forcibly displaced amidst relentless bombings, widespread destruction, and fear.

Meanwhile, the Executive Director of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) described the past 24 hours as devastating for children in Gaza.

Reports indicate that 15 children were killed in airstrikes targeting tents in Gaza, including a child with disabilities who tragically died in a fire caused by the bombing.

The total death toll from the ongoing genocide in Gaza has reached at least 51,798, including 15,626 children and 9,806 women, with 116,432 injured since October 7, 2023. Since March 18, 2025, the toll stands at 1,652 deaths and 4,391 injuries.
