On Thursday, the Israeli army continued the bombing and shelling of various parts of the devastated, starved, and besieged Gaza Strip, killing at least 72 and wounding dozens. This brings the number of slain Palestinians in 24 hours to 107, in addition to 247 injuries.
Four Palestinians were killed, and many remained buried under the rubble when the army fired a missile at a home in Jabalia town, in northern Gaza.
Media sources said the army targeted a home for the Dardouna family in Jabalia, killing at least four and wounding six, while dozens remain under the rubble of the four-story building that also housed several displaced families.
Medics and rescue teams said they had to suspend the search under the rubble due to the lack of equipment and ongoing Israeli attacks, adding that more than fifty Palestinians remain under the rubble.
In central Gaza, a child, Nasra Hawajri, succumbed to serious wounds she suffered when the army bombarded a home in the Nuseirat refugee camp on Thursday afternoon.
Additionally, three Palestinians were killed and many injured when the army fired a missile at a home for the Abu Sabet family in Deir Al-Balah city, in central Gaza.
Another Palestinian was killed and several others injured when the army fired a missile at a tent near the Al-Banna bakery in Deir Al-Balah, in central Gaza.
Furthermore, four Palestinians were killed and many injured in an Israeli bombing of the home of Ahmad Barbarawi, in the Al-Maghazi refugee camp, in central Gaza.
In Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, one child was killed, and thirty Palestinians were injured when the army fired a missile at a tent in Mawasi Al-Qarara, north of the city.
After deliberately blocking humanitarian assistance from entering Gaza for 78 days, Israel has begun allowing in a “basic amount” of aid.

In a comprehensive list, the Palestinian Health Ministry said earlier Thursday that the Israeli army has now killed 16,503 children since October 7, 2023, among them 916 under one year old, 4,365 between the ages of 1 and 5, 6,101 children aged 6 to 12 years, and 5,124 who are 13 to 17 years old.
Since October 7, 2023, Israeli attacks have killed at least 53,762 Palestinians, including 16,503 children, 9,808 women, and 245 journalists, while 122,197 have been injured, most of them women and children.
These figures remain incomplete, as an estimated 11,160 Palestinians are still missing, many trapped under rubble or stranded in locations unreachable by rescue teams.
