Israeli occupation forces continued their campaign of abductions and invasions across the occupied West Bank on Tuesday, targeting cities, refugee camps, and villages from Bethlehem in the south to Jenin in the north, amid ongoing military pressure and daily incursions.
Israeli forces abducted six Palestinians on Tuesday during a series of invasions targeting Bethlehem Governorate, south of Jerusalem, in the occupied West.
The soldiers stormed and ransacked many homes in Bethlehem and inspected the ID cards of several Palestinians while interrogated them.
Media sources said the soldiers abducted Mohammad and Mahmoud Ahmad al-Balboul from the al-Fawaghra neighborhood, Mana’ al-Radi from al-Saff Street in the center of Bethlehem city, Abdullah, and his brother Hussein Awad Obeyyat from Hindaza in the east, and Ahmad As’ad Faraj from Aida refugee camp in the north.
Occupation forces also invaded Aida and Deheishe refugee camps, but no abductions or home incursions were reported during those operations.
In occupied Jerusalem’s northeastern outskirts, Israeli forces installed a military roadblock at the entrance to the town of Hizma.
The roadblock caused severe traffic congestion as soldiers stopped vehicles and inspected passengers’ IDs.
In the central part of the occupied West Bank, the soldiers abducted two young men—Farid Tariq Tirawi and Amro al-Sabe’—during a pre-dawn invasion of al-Jalazone refugee camp, north of Ramallah.
Simultaneously, occupation troops invaded several towns and villages across Ramallah and al-Bireh governorate, including Silwad, Deir Jarir, and Yabrud in the northeast; Nabi Saleh, Deir Abu Mash’al, and Shibtin in the west; Birzeit, Sarda, and Jifna in the north; and the Jabal al-Tawil neighborhood in al-Bireh city.
In Qalqilia, in the northwestern West Bank, Israeli soldiers abducted a Palestinian man on during a military invasion of the town of Hableh, south of the city.
Eyewitnesses said the abductee, Islam Ghali Mardawi, in his forties, was taken after soldiers stormed his home and ransacking it.
In a related development, occupation forces invaded the village of Hajjah, east of Qalqilia, where military vehicles patrolled the streets, disrupting civilian movement and causing widespread traffic obstruction.
In the northern part of the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the city of Nablus and surrounding villages.
Troops stormed the village of Odala, invade a home and a commercial shop, and seized surveillance footage.
They also invaded the village of Qaryout and the town of al-Badhan, conducting searches in several homes.
In Nablus city, occupation forces stormed multiple neighborhoods in the city, in addition to invading al-Ein refugee camp, Rafidia, Beit Wazan, and al-Basatin, searching homes without reported abductions.
Kamal Bani Odeh, the director of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) in Tubas, reported that occupation forces abducted Mohammad Khaled Ali Zahran, 24, at the Al-Hamra military roadblock, in the northeastern part of the West Bank, after he was summoned by the army.
In the northern occupied West Bank, Israeli forces abducted a young man, Wadi’ Rabay’a, from the town of Meithalun south of Jenin.
According to the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society, the abduction was carried out by undercover Israeli units who broke into his home after surrounding it.
The Israeli military continues its sustained offensive on Jenin city and refugee camp, which began on January 21. Daily invasions of surrounding towns and villages have included widespread abductions, interrogations, and home searches.
On Sunday, Israeli forced killed Hassan Ahmad Jamil Mousa, 19, when the army invaded Old Askar refugee camp, east of Nablus.
Later the army killed 15-year-old Jadallah Jihad Jumaa Jadallah after storming the Al-Far’a refugee camp, south of Tubas in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank.
Since the beginning of the year, Israeli forces and colonizers have killed 240 Palestinian citizens in the occupied West Bank, including 49 children and 7 women.
Since the beginning of the year, occupation forces and illegal settlers have killed 80 Palestinians in Jenin, 43 in Nablus, 31 in Tubas, 22 in Hebron, 19 in Ramallah, 17 in Tulkarem, 9 in Bethlehem, 9 in Jerusalem, 6 in Qalqilia, 3 in Salfit, and 1 in Jericho, according to the Shireen Observatory.
