On Tuesday, Israeli occupation forces continued their bombing and shelling of various parts of the devastated, starved, and besieged Gaza Strip, killing 87 Palestinians and injuring 290, including many children and women, within 24 hours.
The Palestinian Health Ministry reported that four Palestinians were killed, and many others wounded, when Israeli forces bombarded Khalifa School in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza, where dozens of displaced families had taken shelter. The ministry confirmed that most of the victims, both those killed and injured, were women and children.
In Jabalia refugee camp, in northern Gaza, Israeli forces bombed a home belonging to the Al-Moqayyad family, killing and wounding several people, including women and children.
Similarly, in eastern Gaza City, an airstrike on a residential home resulted in the deaths of two Palestinians and multiple injuries.
Just hours earlier, another Israeli airstrike targeted a school sheltering displaced families in the Daraj neighborhood of Gaza City.
Meanwhile, in Deir Al-Balah, central Gaza, five Palestinians , including four children were killed and many others injured in Israeli bombardment of the city’s southern area.
The slain Palestinians, Rafiq Ibrahim Al-Kahlout, 5 days old, Mo’tasem Al-Shanti, 29 days old, Farah Ibrahim Al-Baz, 2 years old, Mohannad Sabah, 15 years old, and Abdullah Al-Kahlout, 26 years old.
Medical sources in Gaza have reported a rising death toll caused by starvation and the lack of medical supplies, with 326 fatalities recorded in the past 80 days (since March 2) due to the Israeli-imposed blockade.
According to medical reports, the following deaths have been documented during this period: 58 deaths due to malnutrition, 242 deaths caused by severe shortages of food and medicine, primarily among the elderly, and 26 kidney patients who lost their lives due to the unavailability of essential nutritional and medical care.
Additionally, more than 300 miscarriages have been reported, attributed to severe deficiencies in critical nutrients required for sustaining pregnancy.
Approximately 14,000 infants in Gaza are at imminent risk of starvation within the next 48 hours as Israel continues to block the large-scale entry of desperately needed food supplies.
Medical sources also confirmed that numerous blood donation campaigns have failed due to the deteriorating health of Gaza’s residents, who are physically unable to donate blood. At the same time, hospitals across the Strip are facing severe shortages of blood units, while thousands of wounded Palestinians require urgent, life-saving surgeries.
The blockade and restrictions on humanitarian aid have severely hindered Gaza’s ability to provide essential food, medical supplies, and other crucial resources.
Malnutrition, particularly among infants, remains a growing crisis that humanitarian organizations have consistently warned about.
Despite international calls for unrestricted access to deliver aid, time is running out, and vulnerable populations, especially newborns, continue to face life-threatening conditions.
Reports indicate that Gaza requires a daily influx of 500 aid trucks and 50 fuel trucks to sustain essential medical and humanitarian services.
Since March 2, Israeli occupation forces have completely sealed Gaza’s border crossings, preventing the entry of food, humanitarian relief, medical supplies, and commercial goods.
In related news, Israeli media platforms have released new details regarding what they described as a “significant security event” on Tuesday evening, which remains under strict military censorship.
According to Israeli sources, one Israeli soldier was killed and three others severely injured when Palestinian fighters targeted a building occupied by soldiers, causing it to collapse while they were inside.
The rescue operation reportedly lasted several hours due to ongoing clashes in the area. After an extended effort, Israeli forces recovered the soldier’s body in a neighboring building, leading to speculation that Palestinian fighters may have attempted to retain his remains.
Israeli emergency helicopters transported the three wounded soldiers to hospitals, where they arrived in critical condition.
This marks the second security incident reported on Tuesday, with Israeli authorities enforcing a strict media blackout on details surrounding both events.

Since the resumption of the genocide on March 18, 2025, more than 3,400 Palestinians have been killed and at least 9,600 wounded, predominantly children, women, and the elderly.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel has killed at least 53,581 Palestinians, including 15,626 children, 9,808 women, and 245 journalists, while 121,398 have been injured, most of them women and children.
These figures remain incomplete, as an estimated 11,160 Palestinians are still missing, many trapped under rubble or stranded in locations unreachable by rescue teams.
