Newly released CCTV footage has cast serious doubt on the Israeli army’s claim that Ahmad Khalil Rajabi, 20, was killed—along with a Palestinian municipal worker nearby—during an alleged car‑ramming attempt in Hebron last week.
The video shows that Israeli forces had blocked and divided the road, leaving Rajabi unable to proceed.
With another vehicle obstructing his path, he began reversing to find an exit. Soldiers then opened fire, killing Rajabi and sanitation worker Ziad Na’im Abu Daoud, 55, who was nearby.
At the time, eyewitnesses and humanitarian groups had already disputed the Israeli army’s account, describing the killings as a field execution. The army later admitted that Abu Daoud was not in the car but was near it when shot.
The newly surfaced video now provides visual confirmation of those eyewitness claims, showing that Rajabi’s actions were consistent with trying to maneuver out of a blocked road rather than attempting an attack.
