A Palestinian resident of Jenin, northern occupied West Bank, was informed by the Israeli army, on Tuesday, that the house he rebuilt after it was demolished in 2018, will be demolished once again, the Palestinian News and Info Agency (WAFA) reported.
Homeowner Jamal Qumba told WAFA that he received a notice from Israeli forces informing him of the intention to demolish his house. An appeal by the Jerusalem Legal Aid and Human Rights Center (JLAC) was made to the Israeli High Court, on his behalf was rejected.
Qumba said Israeli forces demolished his house to punish the family for his son Ahmad’s alleged participation in the killing of an Israeli settler near Nablus. The army stated its intent to seize the land under the same pretext.
Qumba said the 160-square meter houses 8 members of his family, belongs to his handicapped brother who has the land deeds to prove ownership of the house.
