HEBRON, Sunday, May 12, 2024 (WAFA) – This morning, Israeli occupation forces demolished the house of a Palestinian political prisoner in the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron in the south of the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

Mohammed Awad, a local activist, reported that Israeli forces demolished the house of Nadeem Sabarna— a Palestinian prisoner in Israeli jails—in the town of Beit Ummar, citing unpermitted construction as a pretext for the demolition.

The building, which housed six individuals, consisted of one floor with an area of 150 square meters. The demolition was carried out under the pretext of lacking an Israeli construction permit.

The prisoner, Awad, is currently detained in Israeli jails without charges or trial under Israel’s so-called administrative detention procedure. He has previously spent more than 10 years in Israeli occupation prisons.

Israel regularly demolishes Palestinian homes and structures in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem under the flimsy pretext of unpermitted construction.
