Israeli settlers, early Thursday, assaulted a Palestinian man and smashed his car near the settlement of Shave Shomron, to the west of Nablus, in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.
The settlers reportedly intercepted the car of Ali Qabaha, a Palestinian from the town of Ya’bad, near Jenin, while he was driving near the illegal settlement of Shave Shomron, smashing his car and beating him up. He was admitted to hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, Israeli settlers threw rocks and bottles at Palestinian homes near an evicted settlement east of Jenin. Soldiers present in the area did not intervene, said WAFA sources.
Further south in Nablus, Israeli settlers backed by a military force held religious rituals at Joseph’s Tomb, provoking clashes with Palestinians.
Israeli soldiers used teargas canisters and stun grenades to disperse the protesters.
