A woman, Maysaa Jabir Al-Attar, was killed today when she was struck by fire from an Israeli drone in the Al-Atatra area northwest of Gaza City.
Local sources reported that Maysaa Jabir Al-Attar succumbed to wounds sustained after an Israeli drone opened fire in Al-Atatra, northwest of Gaza City. Witnesses and local media said she was hit at the scene and later declared dead by medical responders.
The incident took place amid continuing reports of strikes and drone operations across the devastated Gaza Strip despite a ceasefire reached on 11 October 2025. Local monitors say that while large-scale hostilities have decreased, isolated lethal incidents — including drone and air strikes — continue to cause civilian casualties.
Since the mediated ceasefire came into effect, 261 people have been killed and more than 630 wounded in Gaza. Humanitarian groups warn that continued strikes on populated areas are exacerbating an already dire humanitarian situation and placing civilians at ongoing risk.
Medical sources in Gaza reported Thursday that the death toll from Israel’s genocide of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip has surpassed 69,187 Palestinians, with the vast majority being women and children.
The number of wounded has reached 170,703 since October 7, 2023. Rescue teams continue to face insurmountable challenges, as many victims remain trapped under rubble in areas inaccessible due to bombardment and lack of equipment.
