They carried with them Palestinian flags and banners that called for the maintenance of Palestinian national principles including the issues of Jerusalem, the right of return, boundaries, water, the release of all Palestinian detainees, removal of the Separation Wall and the dismantling of all Israeli settlements. This week's rally was entitled "towards a Palestine clear of settlements, Wall and discriminating roads". The protesters carried with them a monument depicting the map of Palestine which they made from the gas bombs Israeli soldiers had fired at them. A group of the international peace activists carried banners in which they expressed their solidarity with the Palestinians and their right to resist the occupation and live freely and independently on their lands. The rally took to the streets of the village while the protesters chanted slogans that expressed the resistance of the occupation and called for maintaining Palestinian principles as well as the importance of national unity. After reaching the barbed wires near the construction site, the Israeli soldiers who were at the site used loudspeakers to warn them against coming closer .They ordered the crowd to keep away and they showered the protesters with gas and sound bombs and fired rubber coated bullets. Dozens of residents suffered from inhaling gas at this week's demonstration that was held in connection with the international day of solidarity with the Palestinian people.
