Israeli troops arrested on Friday a journalist and attacked protesters with tear gas during the weekly anti wall protest at the village of Bilíin central West Bank.After the midday prayers finished at the local mosque the villagers were joined by international and Israeli activists and marched towards the wall built on their lands.

The protest today marked the 62 anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba, the day Israeli was created and Palestinians lost their lands.

When protesters tried to cross the gate of the wall separating villagers form their lands troops used tear gas and sound bombs to suppress the people.

Soldiers arrested a Palestinian journalist covering the activity today, while many others suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation. Tear gas canisters caused a fire in a nearby olive trees damages a number of them.
