Palestinian medical sources reported that ten Palestinians were injured, on Sunday evening, when the Israeli Air Force fired several missiles into Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. Some of the wounded residents are in serious conditions; an infant is among the wounded.Eyewitnesses said that the army fired two missiles at a motorcycle driving in Al-Barazil neighborhood, in Rafah, leading to ten injuries.
Dr. Ashraf Al-Qudra, spokesperson of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, told the Quds Press News Agency that three of the wounded residents are in serious conditions. Five children, including an infant, were among the injured in the Israeli attack; their injuries were described are mild-to-moderate.
Dr. Al-Qudra said that the missiles were fired into a crowded area, including school students who were leaving evening school and heading home.
Israeli army spokesperson, Afihai Adra’ei, stated that the attack targeted two fighters of the Hamas movement, identified as Tal’at Khalil Jerby and Mohammad Hussein.
Adra’ei held Hamas responsible for any attacks that target Israel from the Gaza Strip.
