Israeli forces, on Monday afternoon, raided the popular struggle symbolic village ‘Jerusalem Gate’, constructed in Abu Dis, occupied East Jerusalem, in protest of Israeli plans to confiscate land and displace Bedouins to further expand the illegal settlement project known as ‘E1’.PNN reports that a large number of soldiers attacked the village with teargas and sound grenades, upon which dozens of activists suffocated.
In addition, European representatives and consuls who were attending to witness Israeli actions against Palestinians were also reportedly injured.
Reporters said the clashes were so violent that about 5 people were injured, while three were detained by Israeli authorities.
