Israeli soldiers attacked, Friday, the weekly nonviolent protest in Kufur Qaddoum town, in the northern West Bank district of Qalqilia, and injured many Palestinians, including an elderly man who was shot in the head.The Popular Committee in Kufur Qaddoum said the soldiers invaded the town and fired many gas bombs and rubber-coated steel bullets, wounding and an elderly man, identified as Taiseer Eshteiwy, with a rubber-coated steel bullet in the head.

The soldiers also fired many gas bombs on the protesters, and nearby homes, causing dozens of residents to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.

Morad Eshteiwy, the media spokesperson of the Popular Committee in Kufur Qaddoum, said the residents marched from the village, after Friday noon prayers, and headed towards their lands and orchards, before the soldiers attacked them, and fired gas bombs and rubber-coated steel bullets.

He added that the wounded man was in his house’s yard, in the invaded area, when a rubber-coated steel bullet struck him in his head.

Similar to previous weeks, the soldiers sprayed many homes with waste-waters mixed with chemicals.

Also on Friday, the soldiers attacked the weekly nonviolent protests in Bil’in and Ni’lin villages, near Ramallah, and fired several concussion grenades.
