Welcome to Palestine Today, a service of the International Middle East Media Center, www.imemc.org, for Thursday, August, 10, 2017.

Seven youth and four children are reported  injured during separate attacks by Israeli troops and settlers.  These stories, and more, coming up, stay tuned.

Undercover Israeli soldiers infiltrated, on Thursday evening, into Beit Rima town, northwest of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, and shot seven young men with live fire, after the soldiers attempted to abduct a Palestinian.

After their undercover assault was exposed, the soldiers started firing live rounds at many Palestinians who gathered in the area, and shot seven young men with live rounds in their limbs.

Regular army units then invaded the town and secured the are where its undercover officers were, who barricaded themselves in a building in the town, leading to more clashes.

Also on Thursday, Palestinian medical sources have reported that four children were injured, after being rammed by a speeding Israeli colonist’s car, in the al-‘Ein Street, in Silwan town, in occupied East Jerusalem. The sources said the four children suffered various cuts and bruises, before an Israeli ambulance moved them to Hadassah Medical Center.

Eyewitnesses said the colonist deliberately rammed the children with his car as they were walking along the sidewalk, and sped away.

In other news, Israeli soldiers invaded, on Thursday at dawn, Deir Abu Mashal and Silwad towns, in the central West Bank governorate of Ramallah, and demolished three homes belonging to the families of two slain Palestinians, and a detainee, involved in attacks that led to the death of two Israeli soldiers in June.

Moreover, Israeli soldiers invaded, on Thursday at dawn, several Palestinian communities in the occupied West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, searched many homes and abducted thirteen Palestinians. Israeli forces also raided and searched a number of Palestinian government offices in Hebron’s old town district, Palestinian security sources reported.
