Israeli police detained five Palestinian worshipers, including a female, near Bab al-Rahma, or Golden Gate, inside the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied Jerusalem’s Old City, the Palestinian News and Info Agency reported.
Israeli forces, on Tuesday evening, attacked worshipers at Bab al-Rahma, and at Bab al-Hatta Gate, inside the al-Aqsa Mosque compound.
Eyewitnesses said that the arrests came hours after worshipers confronted member of the Israeli parliament, Yehuda Glick, who stormed the compound and tried to steal soil from inside the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound.
Witnesses said that Israeli forces, on Tuesday evening attacked worshipers at Bab al-Rahma gate and detained another six people, again, including a female.
Forces also attacked worshipers at Bab al-Hatta gate and prevented them from entering the mosque.
