A senior Palestinian source reported on Monday evening that Israel has dismantled nearly 70% of its military camps in the Gaza Strip and has only maintained temporary posts.
The source stated that Israel will conclude its withdrawal from the northern Gaza Strip by September 4, 2005.
Currently, the army is stationed in temporary military camps, while military units are patrolling the evacuating settlements and their surroundings. ÂÂ

Most of the military camps which the army built since the beginning of the Al Aqsa Intifada are now empty after the army evacuated the equipment and removed the cement walls.ÂÂ
On Sunday evening and Monday morning, military bulldozers began to demolish and remove caravans and tents which were installed by pullout opponents in Rafiah Yam, Morag and Bat Sadeh settlements, near Rafah in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
Dozens of soldiers scouted the homes and barracks in the settlements searching for settlers who might be hidden there.
