An Israeli military source reported that settlers attacked eight Palestinian villages in the northern West Bank on Monday before dawn, while marching and attempting to infiltrate Sa-Nur and Homesh settlements, slated for evacuation.
The two settlements have been sealed by the army in the lead up to evacuation, in order to bar pullout foes from infiltrating and barricading themselves inside.
The settlers reportedly entered some Palestinian villages in an attempt to infiltrate Sa-Nur and Homesh settlements, but in many other instances, they entered the Palestinian villages with the sole aim of vandalizing property and attacking the residents.  ÂÂ
Late Monday evening, settlers threw stones at two Palestinian residents near Eli settlement, east of the Ariel settlement bloc in the West Bank; the two residents were mildly injured.
On Sunday at dawn, armed settlers attacked Fendaqumiyah village, adjacent to Homesh settlement, south of the West Bank city of Nablus.
The settlers fired their weapons in the air and vandalized the property of the residents and their vehicles.ÂÂ

The settlers also attacked Qousen and Madama, south of Nablus, and hurled empty bottles and stones at the houses and cars in the villages.
Additional attacks were reported in Borqa, Bzaria, and Sabastia villages, north of Nablus, near Homesh settlement, especially Bazaria village which is directly adjacent to the settlement. ÂÂ

On Sunday night, settlers attacked a Palestinian home in Borqa village, kicked the family out, destroyed the furniture, smashed the windows, and occupied the home.
The settlers also throw stones at homes and properties in the village of Jeet, close to Qadumim settlement. Damage was reported, no injuries.
The escalating incidents of attacks were preceded by the terrorist attack carried out by a settler in the industrial zone of Shilo settlement on Wednesday August 17, 2005. The settler opened fire at a group of Palestinian workers, killing four; four other workers were injured.
