Hamas, Jihad condemn Tulkarem assassinations, vow revenge

Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, and the Islamic Jihad, condemned the assassination of five residents, said to be Islamic Jihad members in Tulkarem, on Thursday, and vowed to avenge the attack.

Hamas leaders said that Israel insists to resume it attacks against the Palestinians and their movements, adding that the movement cannot stand still while the army conducts its assaults.

“All options are available now, Hamas cannot stand idle without avenging this crime”, Mosheer Al Masry, Hamas media spokesperson said, “This assassination reveals the real intentions of Israel to spill the Palestinian blood”.

“We did not attack the Israeli army and the settlements during the Gaza pullout”, Al Masry added, “Yet, they continue their attacks, and assassinations”.

“Palestinian factions declared truce, we were part of this decision”, Al Masry added, “But Israel insists to resume it attacks against us”.

Also, Mohammad Al Hindi, one of the prominent leaders of the Islamic Jihad, said that this assassination “will not pass unpunished”, adding that the Palestinian people and movements will defend themselves”.

 

Al Hindi added that the resistance will set the time and date for retaliating to the assassination since “Israeli did not change its policies of assassinating the resistance fighters, and insists to continue its attacks against the Palestinians and their factions”.

Nafeth Azzam, a prominent leader of the Islamic Jihad, said that this assassination proves to the whole world that Israel “did not change its hostile policies against the Palestinians”.

 

“Today, Israel carried out its crime in Tulkarem, ignoring all efforts to maintain the truce”, Azzam said, “Our resistance will resume, and will counter the continuous Israeli aggression”.
