Israeli soldiers sealed off the Qalandia military checkpoint between the West Bank city of Ramallah and Jerusalem in a step that would tighten the Israeli grip on the Palestinian crossings between north and south of the West Bank.
‘Soldiers banned the crossing of Palestinians through the checkpoint forcing them to pass a circular rough road till they open the permanent crossing.
The army has been working on preparing the permanent check post over the last several months.
