Israeli soldiers destroyed, Thursday, three Palestinian irrigation ponds in the al-Jiftlik village, located to the north of Jericho in the Jordan Valley.
Ahmad Abu Ghanem, the mayor of al-Jiftlik, told WAFA Palestinian News & Info Agency, that the destroyed ponds were used to irrigate 70 dunums of village land.
He added that Israeli military bulldozers filled the ponds with debris to render them useless to the Palestinians.
It is worth mentioning that, on Wednesday, the soldiers uprooted more than 100 Palm trees, owned by Anwar Abu Jouda, in the same area, before taking the trees with them.
The area is subject to constant Israeli violations, including assaults by the illegal colonialist settlers, and include assaulting the indigenous Palestinians, their homes, lands, property, and even their livestock.
