Israeli soldiers invaded on Monday at night Aqqaba village, near the West Bank city of Tubas and clashed with dozens of youth who hurled stones and empty bottles at the invading forces.
A local source in the village reported that soldiers fired rounds of live ammunition and gas bombs at the youth, no injuries were reported.
The source stated that the clashes erupted after the soldiers broke into a number of houses in the village and searched them after forcing the residents out.
Also, a Palestinian security source in Tubas reported that soldiers invaded the city on Monday evening and fired at dozens of residents who hurled stones and empty bottles at them.
In a separate incident, soldiers installed two military checkpoints near Aqqaba village and Tammoun junction, south of Tubas.
Soldiers detained dozens of residents for several hours and inspected their identity cards while interrogating them.
Troops also stopped a Palestinian police vehicle heading to Tubas, and detained the policemen for one hour.
