Ziad Al Nakhala, deputy secretary-general of the Islamic Jihad movement, denied the statements of the Israeli Defense Minister, Shaul Mofaz, who claimed that the movement received 1.8 million US Dollars from Iran.
Mofaz’s statements came during an interview with the Israeli electronic newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth on Tuesday.
Al Nikahla stated that the Islamic Jihad does not receive its orders from anybody, and that its decisions are made by its leaders in Palestine.
He also said that the statements of Mofaz reveal the real intentions of Israel to continue and widen the aggression against the movement, and the Palestinians, ahead of the general elections in Israel.
“The Palestinian people will not surrender to Israel’s policy of starvation and siege”, Al Nakhala stated, “The people will resist, and will retrieve their stolen rights, they will remain united and face the Israeli aggression with determination”.
