A group of illegal Israeli colonizers invaded, Friday, Khirbat al-Farisiyya village, in the Northern Plains of the Jordan Valley in the occupied West Bank, before occupying a Palestinian water spring, and started constructing a collections pool near it.
Local activist Aref Daraghma said the colonizers occupied a spring in the Khallet Khader area, in the al-Farisiyya village, and prevented the Palestinians from entering the area.
He added that the colonizers also started preparation work for a water collection pool near the spring, to occupy it and the surrounding area to establish a new colonialist outpost on the stolen lands.
Daraghma also said that the colonizers invaded and occupied structures, owned by Raddad Daraghma, near the water spring, and brought digging and construction equipment.
Earlier this year, the colonizers occupied another spring in the Ein al-Hilwa area in the Northern Plains and started constructing a park after preventing the Palestinians from entering the area.
The spring is the main source of water for dozens of Palestinian families in the area.
The Northern Plains area, %25 of the West Bank, is subject to constant and escalating violations by the soldiers and the colonizers, especially since there are more than 21 illegal colonies and outposts on Palestinian lands there.
Most Palestinians in that area are farmers and shepherds, who depend on water and farming as their only source of livelihood, especially due to the fertile nature of the area, which witnesses frequent invasions, assaults, and repeated demolitions of homes and structures, in addition to being frequently bulldozed and uprooted by the soldiers and the colonizers.
