The Palestine News Network has learned from informed sources that the Americans are contributing major funds through the health system in spite of the siege imposed by the US administration on the Palestinian people and government.
The sources have estimated that up to 35,412,100 USD has been raised with between one and three million dollars actually arriving to hospitals directly or through President Abbas, bypassing the Ministry of Health.
The sources declined to disclose the name of the American foundation, citing that it “refuses to engage in any political game.” They say that there intention is “humanitarian only.”
Additionally, the organization Physicians for Human Rights began Tuesday morning to engage in fundraising inside Israeli borders for Palestinian hospitals.
The official sources in the organization told PNN that they were aware of the American association engaging in fundraising for the Palestinian health system, but they also refused to reveal the name of the institution.
