On Friday, Israeli soldiers injured nine Palestinians, including a Palestine TV correspondent, during the weekly procession against colonialism in Kufur Qaddoum, east of the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia.

Morad Eshteiwy, the media spokesperson of the Popular Committee in Qalqilia, said the soldiers attacked the protesters with many live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, and gas bombs.

He said nine Palestinians, including a journalist Anal al-Jada’, suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation and received the needed treatment.

Many Palestinian youngsters also hurled stones at the soldiers who attacked the procession and tried to invade the center of the town.

The Palestinians have been holding weekly processions in Kufur Qaddoum for the last eighteen years, demanding the army to reopen the village’s main road the soldiers blockaded to allow easy access to the illegal colonizers driving to and from Kedumim illegal colony built on stolen Palestinian lands.

In related news, illegal Israeli colonizers hurled stones at Palestinian cars near ‘Izbat at-Tabib village, east of Qalqilia, causing damage.
