On Wednesday, Israeli soldiers demolished three livestock farms on Palestinian lands near the main entrance of Anata town, northeast of the occupied capital, Jerusalem, in the West Bank.
Taha Refa’ey, the mayor of Anata, said the soldiers demolished a barn for horses owned by a local farmer, Mahmoud Sheikh.
He added that the soldiers also demolished two barns with 700 livestock, including sheep and calves, owned by Najati Da’na.
Refa’ey stated that the Israeli army has been targeting the area, demolishing Palestinian structures, and preventing the Palestinians from benefiting from their lands.
The barn’s owner, Najati Da’na, told the Palestinian News & Info Agency (WAFA) that he had barns, a factory for frozen meat, and more than 700 sheep, chickens, and other livestock.
“The soldiers came and destroyed everything,” he added, “The demolished barns provided livelihoods for fifteen families… we are here to stay, and we will remain steadfast on our lands no matter what.”
