On Thursday evening, Israeli soldiers abducted a Palestinian at the Beit Hanoun (Erez) Crossing in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
Former political prisoner and the head of the Studies and Documentation Department at the Palestinian Detainees’ Committee, Abdul-Nasser Ferwana, said the Palestinian had been identified as Samed Ibrahim Ashour.
Ferwana added that Ashour, from Deir Al-Balah in central Gaza, carried an Israeli permit and was taken prisoner on his way back to the Gaza Strip.
He also said that Ashour is the eighth Palestinian to be abducted at the Erez terminal this year, although the Palestinians at the crossing carry Israeli-issued permits.
