A Palestinian source reported on Monday that the Israeli air force shelled a house that belongs to a leader of the Islamic Jihad in Gaza city. Fighters of the Islamic Jihad responded by firing homemade shells at Al Majdal, south of Israel.

The house of the Islamic Jihad leader, in Al Nassr neighborhood in Gaza city, was badly damaged but four residents were injured.

Meanwhile, the Al Quds brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for firing three homemade shells at Al Majdal south of Israel.

Israeli military sources reported that one of the shells detonated near what was described as a “sensitive facility” but did not reveal any further information.

Moreover, the Al Aqsa brigades, the armed wing of Fateh movement, claimed responsibility for firing two homemade shells at the Israeli Negev town of Sderot.

The two armed wings reported in separate pres releases that the shelling comes in retaliation to the continuous Israeli attacks against the Palestinian and Lebanese civilians.
